Property rates steadily increasing, thanks to metro construction. However, rental yield isn’t as high as nearby areas like Guindy.

Porur is a quite and safe locality with good schools nearby, but Porur lacks nightlife or hangout spots for youngsters.

There are plenty of supermarkets and veg markets. But autos overcharge and app cabs cancel often. especially during peak hours or nights

Rent is affordable here but frequent power cuts during summer months are frustrating.

Two years back, I bought a 2BHK in a gated society. Great for families, but waterlogging issue during monsoons still hasn't been resolved.

Porur has excellent connectivity via Mount-Poonamallee Road. Area feels secure, but garbage disposal is irregular in some lanes.
